Everything has been such a blur here in the InterVol "offices". Finishing up from our big event "the Affair at Max's" and now traveling to Belize.

Right now I'm busy cleaning and reformatting computers.... AND packing medical & academic supplies to carry down next week.

If anyone is interested in helping out this upcoming week with trip preparation please drop me an email at jaimebarclay@hotmail.com.

thanks everyone!!

I stopped in to see some of my favorite people today... the New Visions students from Rochester General. These students were incredibly helpful with our most recent TV spotlight (if you didn't see it check it out!) and are always ready to help no matter what the task.

I have now asked them to do yet ANOTHER thing to help.... even though it is the end of the year and they have a "zillion" things on their plates as seniors--- they have decided to take it on.... I can always count on these students for going above and beyond!

If you might recall, we had a shipment go to Belize in early spring and unfortunately the items we sent could only cover the "tip of the iceberg"--- so, I asked for more!

What we decided to do is collect educational cd-roms and other easily transportable resources to donate to the Scouting Association of Belize for their new computer lab. (I wrote and posted pictures on this project back in November '05)--- this computer lab will give computer/software access to a whole community of people--- not just the scouts themselves.

The lab is located at scout headquarters in Belize City and has approximately 10 computers (donated by ViaHealth). The resources we are collecting will be donated to this lab during our Internet and email training session on May 21st.

(this picture is of the unconstructed lab when we visited the Scouts in Nov. '05)

If you are interested in donating educational cd-roms or other computer lab resources for us to take in May---please drop me an email at jaimebarclay@hotmail.com or call me today at (585) 259-1990.

I look forward to sharing more on the New Vision success and pictures from our session with the Scouts on the 21st!
